Get to know Eden: 5 questions with Mary Culkin
Mary Culkin joined us as a senior development manager. With a background in soil ecology and the microbiome, Mary found and developed a passion for the solar industry in 2021.
Eden: What drew you to Eden Renewables originally?
Mary: I was drawn to Eden because of their fantastic organizational structure and Giovanni's no-nonsense attitude.
Eden: What do you like most about being a Senior Development Manager?
Mary: My position never gets boring or routine. The solar industry is an ever-changing environment, and every day brings a new challenge. Even processes you have done before are different each time you go through them with a new project. Each project is unique and will require new relationships to be built, as well as new regulations and environmental obstacles.
Eden: If you could transform the essence of Eden Renewables into a book, what would the theme be?
Mary: The theme would be action.
Eden: What is your favorite quote/mantra?
Mary: "A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals and you know it." from Men in Black.
Eden: What have you learned in the last week?
Mary: Recently, I learned that the Great Pacific Garbage Patch now hosts species that have gone extinct on the landmass from which they came initially.
