Get to know Eden: 5 questions with Sean Ryan

5Q_SeanRyan.png

Sean Ryan joins Eden straight out of SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry as one of the two new project coordinators Eden recently hired. His formal education in Sustainable Energy Management and Sustainable Construction Management and desire to help the renewables industry grow make him a great addition to the team.

As Sean settles into his new role, he carved some time out of his busy schedule to answer our 5 questions:

Eden: What do you look forward to in this role?

Sean: I look forward to site visits and seeing our hard work turn into fields full of solar panels.

Eden: From your undergraduate studies and internship experience, what are some of the things you learned that you hope to apply in this role?

Sean: Hopefully, my studies in energy markets and energy investment analysis will provide useful insight for the project team.

Eden: Who would you say is your biggest supporter (that helped guide your academic and career choices)?

Sean: My professor at ESF, Dr. Kloster. She stepped into my major program after the departure of one of the founders of the major and took on a huge workload, all while getting her Ph.D., and keeping the students engaged. Probably was the professor for 6 or 7 of my undergrad courses.

Eden: What do you hope to achieve while at Eden?

Sean: I hope to gain useful renewable energy project experience and help Eden’s expansion into new states.

Eden: And finally, share one interesting fact about you that not many people know about.

Sean: I know online shopping is close to making them obsolete, but I still love going to the mall and walking around and shopping in person.

Thanks, Sean! And welcome to Eden!
