Get to know Eden: 5 questions with Jaimi DeFeo
Jaimi DeFeo brings years of education experience to our team as Eden’s new Eden Education Program Manager. As she grows accustomed to her new role, we asked her 5 questions to get to know her a little better. Here is what she said:
Eden: How many years have you been teaching?
Jaimi: Five.
Eden: What do you like best about teaching?
Jaimi: Engaging with students and seeing them become enlightened over time or with certain topics they didn't understand. I also really like planning out the syllabus and activities, as well as learning new things with each semester and meeting new students.
Eden: What do you look forward to in this new role?
Jaimi: I love expanding on great business ideas that include environmental education for the population. Since I think about environmentalism continuously in my daily life, and I am able to use my creativity in teaching and programming, I'm excited that my position at Eden allows me to use the best of my talents with a company that has long-term goals. It's exciting to help grow a business that is part of the environmental movement.
Eden: How would friends and family describe you in one word?
Jaimi: Adventurous. Innovative. Yeah, I know, that's two.
Eden: And finally, what do you like to do in your free time?
Jaimi: Travel, songwriting, photography, walking/hiking, spending time with my dogs and husband on our horse farm.
