Elmbrook Community Solar Farm Grand Opening in Schodack, NY

On Wednesday, October 11th, enthusiastic local residents and professionals gathered for the grand opening of Elmbrook Community Solar Farm in Schodack, New York. This grand opening event marked a significant milestone in Eden’s history as the first operational solar farm we’ve developed in the state.

The symbolic ribbon-cutting was accompanied by engaging speeches from Sean Ryan, our Senior Project Coordinator; William Lanford, landowner; and Bill Pederson, PureSky Energy’s Director of Project Operations. The speakers highlighted the critical role of community solar farms in reducing carbon pollution and saving money on energy bills, the significant positive impact on the local environment, and thanked all of our local supporters who helped us along the way.

The event concluded with an educational tour of the solar farm led by Pat McGowin, PureSky Energy’s Project Manager. Many great questions were asked and insights gained into the science of solar and the innovative technology used at Elmbrook.

It was a day to remember, celebrating a brighter, greener future for the Town of Schodack and beyond and uniting the community in their shared commitment to renewable energy and sustainability.
