2024 Green STEAM Scholarship recipients
We are pleased to be awarding our 2024 Green STEAM Scholarship to thirteen graduating High School Students in Upstate New York, with a total value of $17,000.
The recipients are Conner Jeffrey Buck, Benjamin Randles, and Liam Russell McKernon of Argyle High School, Julia Lynn McKinley, Ryan Otten, Brooke Cearley of Ballston Spa High School, Tyler Johnson of Burnt Hills High School, Marlena Kretser of Fonda Fultonville High School, Josephine E Schmidt of Hoosic Valley High School, Zachary Zibella of Hudson City High School, Lillian Jensen of Ichabod Crane High School, and Gianna Naples and Lilah Dowling of Maple Hill High School.
Students were chosen based on various factors including academic merit, demonstrated leadership in school, participation in community service, work experience, and statement of goals and aspirations.
Lillian Jensen of Kinderhook, NY, will attend Paul Smith’s College to pursue a degree in Environmental Science with a minor in GIS. A lover of the natural environment, Lillian is hoping to get a job where she can work directly in the environment and get her hands dirty.
Scholarship recipient Zachary Zibella of Hudson, NY will major in Aerospace Engineering at Penn State University. Throughout his career aspires to understand the ramifications of and prevent debris from finding home in unintended places.
Eden’s Green STEAM Scholarship Program was established to support students' interests in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics in fields that benefit the environment, linking to our community solar projects in each town.

Eden Renewables has 20 pollinator-friendly community solar farms under construction or operational in Upstate New York.
