Get to know Eden: 5 questions with Ed Parker
We continue our employee spotlight with Ed Parker who brings many years of experience working in the solar industry.
He joined Eden in 2018 as Community Outreach Manager which over time evolved into Project Origination Manager where his main responsibility is to prospect new projects. If you have a 35+ acre property in a sunny location that you want to lease or sell for solar development, Ed would be the person you would need to talk to.
In between finding new sites, among his other responsibilities, Ed took some time to answer our 5 questions. Read on to see what he said:
Eden: Talk to me about your first day with the company.
Ed: I spent my first day, and first several weeks, at Giovanni's house. We worked around his dining room table. It was fun to work for an early-stage company - with a group of nice & interesting folks.
Eden: What do you like most about your role at Eden?
Ed: This role marries my sales skills with my desire to be part of the solution to the critical problem of climate change.
Eden: What has been your favorite project?
Ed: All of these projects have their distinct challenges - and helping to get them across the finish line is a team effort that is very satisfying.
Eden: Who would you say is your biggest supporter?
Ed: My wonderful wife Donna and our three awesome daughters Lydia, Abby, and Emma.
Eden: What do you like to do on your days off?
Ed: I like to spend time outdoors - hiking, fishing, walking my dog, playing tennis, and skiing.
