Eden kicks off "Power of the Sun" poster contest
We invite 5th Grade students in the Capital Region to enter our first ‘Power of the Sun’ poster contest for a chance to win a pizza party for their whole class.
Our ‘Power of the Sun’ Poster Contest is designed to challenge children to think creatively about solar energy. Using any forms of media, students are asked to create an original poster depicting the importance of solar energy to our planet and all living things, how it benefits our lives today, and how it will power our future. The deadline for submissions is Friday, March 5th.
This contest is open to 5th Grade students living in and enrolled in a private or public school within the Capital Region. Teachers are also encouraged to enter their entire class to increase their chances of winning. For more information or to enter the contest, click here.
Eden offers educational support at each of its community solar farms, with its programs, Eden Education and Green STEM Scholarship. These give children the chance to learn beyond the school grounds and support student interests in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, respectively.
