Get to know Eden: 5 questions with Michelle Carrigan-Smith

Michelle Carrigan-Smith brings an exciting theatrical background to the Eden US team. In her Education Coordinator role, Michelle works closely with the schools in our host communities to organize field trips, workshops, and webinars. At these events, students have the opportunity to get hands-on experience building and testing solar gadgets or visiting one of our nearby community solar farms.

Get to know a person who actively shapes young minds with her answers to our 5 questions:

Eden: What drew you to Eden Renewables originally?

Michelle: First by the need to play some small part in saving our planet. Second, I liked that Eden Renewables gives back to the communities they serve with Educational Outreach.

Eden: What do you like most about being the Education Coordinator?

Michelle: I love being able to teach students about solar energy and get them interested in STEM careers and opportunities. I also enjoy letting kids know that there is hope for our planet!

Eden: What is on your wish list for the next 10 years with Eden Renewables?

Michelle: I hope that Eden Renewables continues to grow and I along with it! So many communities and so much sun!

Eden: Who would you say is your biggest supporter?

Michelle: My husband is my biggest supporter, he is the wind beneath my wings.

Eden: What do you like to do on your days off?

Michelle: On my days off I enjoy reading, hiking, kayaking, and spending time with my 3 boys. I also enjoy acting, painting, drawing, and arts and crafts.
